Iris TB ‘Sharp Dressed Man’

Iris ‘Sharp Dressed Man’ is two-toned with dark purple-black falls with orange beards and light purple standards.

‘Sharp Dressed Man’ is a mid-season bloomer that brings drama to the garden with dark purple to almost black falls and light purple standards all contrasting with bright orange beards. Fragrant too. A tall, clump forming bearded iris 36 inches tall with green sword-shaped leaves. Excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
