Iris TB ‘Peggy Sue’
Iris ‘Peggy Sue’ is a fragrant, reblooming, bearded iris with pink flowers with contrasting orange beards.
‘Peggy Sue’ is an early to midseason bloomer with frilly pink standards and lighter pink falls tied together with a burnt orange-red beard. A very fragrant and reliable reblooming variety. This bearded iris blooms at 34 inches high. Excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
