Iris TB ‘Mariposa Autumn’
Iris ‘Mariposa Autumn’ has beautifully ruffled white petals edged in violet on tall stems that may rebloom later in the season.
‘Mariposa Autumn’ is an early to mid-season re-bloomer with spectacular, fragrant, ruffled white centres and falls edged in violet creating a striking contrast. This is a tall, clump-forming bearded iris with green sword-shaped leaves. Excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
