Iris TB ‘Jawbone Flats’

Iris 'Jawbone Flats' has lovely ruffled amethyst standards with white infusions and dramatic velvety purple falls with white netting.

‘Jawbone Flats’ has lovely ruffled amethyst standards with white infusions up the midribs. Where the standards are demure and lovely, the falls are dramatic with rich velvety purple overlain with bright white netting and an amethyst edge all around yellow and orange beards. Blooms in midseason on tall stems to 44 inches with 8-9 blooms each! Non-fragrant. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
