Iris TB ‘Downstream’
Iris 'Downstream' is a flattie in gorgeous shades of refined purple blue lightening toward the centres to white and pale blue.

‘Downstream’ offers a special form called a flattie with the standards lying flat with the falls – much like a Japanese iris (Iris ensata) – revealing just the style arms vertical at the centre of the flower. This is all done with gorgeous shades of refined purple blue lightening toward the centres to white and pale blue with blue beards. Blooms in the late season on 36 inch stems with seven buds each. Charming fragrance. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
