Iris TB ‘Devil’s Punchbowl’
Iris 'Devil's Punchbowl' has glowing, plum purple to burgundy standards atop luscious purple-black falls with royal purple beards.
‘Devil’s Punchbowl’ is a stunning bearded iris with glowing, plum purple to burgundy standards highlighted with darker veins atop luscious purple-black falls accented with a royal purple beard. Blooms early season on 37 inch spikes that can produce 8 buds each. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
