Iris TB ‘Blood Moon’

Iris 'Blood Moon' is boldly ruffled with burgundy standards and creamy to lemon yellow falls with a plicata border.

‘Blood Moon’ is a boldly ruffled cultivar with rich reddish burgundy standards with a flush of yellow at the base and creamy to lemon yellow falls with a burgundy plicata border. Blooms in the mid to late season. Each well-branched stem produces up to seven flowers. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
