Iris TB ‘Black Suited’

Iris 'Black Suited' achieves a stunning inky black colour along with blue falls, a slightly musky fragrance, and vigorous growth.

‘Black Suited’ is a cross of ‘Black Tie Affair’ and ‘Before the Storm’ that achieves a stunning inky black colour along with blue falls, a slightly musky fragrance, and vigorous growth. Blooms in the mid to late season. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
