Iris TB ‘Batik’

Iris 'Batik' has very showy, ruffled purple flowers with white streaks. Each flower is unique.

‘Batik’ is an early season bloomer of beautifully ruffled royal purple to blue-purple flowers with variable white streaking throughout. Each flower is unique. Very showy! This is a compact, clumping bearded iris with narrow upright foliage, excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
