‘Franky’ has lovely creamy standards and rich purple falls edged in cream accented with bright orange beards. Jasmine and vanilla fragrance. Blooms in the early season on 12 inch stems. The standard dwarf bearded iris (SDB) are hybrids involving Iris pumila and other species and hybrids. They look like the classic tall bearded iris but in miniature and often with the flowers near the top of the bluish straplike leaves to heights of 8-16 inches. Use them at the front of the border, along pathways, and in rockeries in full sun in average to dry situations. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
