Iris pseudacorus

This elegant iris grows along the water’s edge or in water logged soil but also does well in normal gardens. It has stately upright foliage and lovely spikes of yellow flowers. This is a Eurasian species which has become naturalized in some areas of BC so be careful with it if you live near natural areas. It can spread by rhizome or seed.
