Iris IB ‘Parable’

Iris 'Parable' is richly coloured with bluish violet standards and warm purple falls with navy blue beards.

‘Parable’ is richly coloured with bluish violet standards and warm purple falls accented with near-black around the navy blue beards touched with brown. Blooms in the early season on 20 inch stems. Lightly fragrant. The intermediate bearded iris (IB) are hybrids that look just like the classic tall bearded iris just at two thirds the height. Use them at the front or mid border, along pathways, and in rockeries in full sun in average to dry situations. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
