‘Gold Bound’ is an elegant Japanese iris with large, up to 7.5 inches across, glistening, pure white, ruffled, open-faced flowers with flashes of lemon yellow. They form vigorous clumps of upright, grassy-green leaves. Growth habit 2 to 3 feet tall with a 15 to 20 inch spread. Iris ensata grows happily at the waterside, in pots sitting in water, or in average garden beds with reasonable moisture.
