Hymenocallis festalis, also known as Ismene festalis, resembles a pure white, spidery daffodil with a round corona, long, thin filaments, orange stamens, a greenish yellow throat, and long, narrow, arching petals. The flowers of Peruvian daffodil or spider lily are fragrant and are borne on stems 1-2 feet tall above the Amaryllis-like foliage. Grow in a protected location outdoors in zone 8 or as a pot plant brought in as a houseplant in winter.
