Hymenocallis ‘Advance’, also known as Ismene, resembles a spidery, white daffodil with a round corona, long, thin filaments, yellow stamens, a greenish yellow throat, and stubby, narrow petals. The flowers of Peruvian daffodil or spider lily are sweetly fragrant and slightly spicy borne on stems 1-2 feet tall above the Amaryllis-like foliage. A hybrid of H. narcissiflora and H. ‘Festalis’. Grow in a protected location outdoors in zone 8 or as a pot plant brought in as a houseplant in winter.
