Hydrangea paniculata Torch is one of the earliest of all panicle cultivars to bloom, weeks before other cultivars. The cones are a lovely mix of lacy fertile florets and creamy white infertile florets that start cream and age to pink. Will grow 4-5 feet high and wide. Excellent for drier areas. Don’t forget to cut some for a dried flower display in autumn. Paniculatas are super hardy, bloom on new wood, are fragrant, and make good dried flowers. Cultivar name: ‘HPOPR018’.
