Hosta ‘Red October’

'Red October' is a red stemmed Hosta said to be one of the best.

‘Red October’ is a red stemmed Hosta said to be one of the best. The leaves are green on top but silvery-white beneath (which looks fabulous with the red stems!). In spring this cultivar is stunning as it emerges with a bit of red seeping into the leaf bases. In summer, the lavender flowers are held on red stems. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
