Hosta ‘Purple Heart’

‘Purple Heart’ represents an exciting next step in the work to breed purple and red into hosta foliage. In this case the burgundy red to almost black petioles (leaf stems) have sent red speckles up into the base of the glossy lime to green leaves. Add to this a neat and uniform habit and dark burgundy flower stems topped with lavender flowers. Good slug resistance.
