Hippeastrum ‘Mrs. Garfield’
Hippeastrum ‘Mrs. Garfield’ is a famous heritage amaryllis from the 1880's with variegated leaves and pink and white flowers.

Hippeastrum ‘Mrs. Garfield’ is a famous heirloom hybrid involving H. reticulatum produced in the UK around the 1880s. This rare collector’s amaryllis has wide strap-like leaves centred with a bold white stripe. Its handsome trumpet flowers are soft white and elegantly reticulated with rose veins. Unlike the modern hybrids, this fabulous heirloom maintains evergreen foliage and regularly blooms each year in autumn, especially as the roots become more restricted. Bulbs of this cultivar are naturally small at about one inch wide when mature. The bulbs we send you will be flowering size though may require a season or two to settle in before blooming.
