Helleborus x hybridus WJ Painted
Helleborus Winter Jewels Painted has spotting so plentiful each white or creamy yellow tepal is centred with a burgundy thumb print!
Marietta O’Byrne’s Helleborus Painted strain has white, cream or pale yellow tepals heavily spotted with red or purple. This is a great hellebore strain for gardeners who love deep, bold colour but who don’t want to lose that colour against the dark, bare spring soil – the tepals come with a nice white or cream to show off the bold colours. As with all strains the exact colour and flower shape will vary. Every plant is unique. Deer resistant. Tolerant of shade but best in part shade to part sun. Perennial Plant of the Year 2005.
