Helleborus x hybridus WJ Golden Lotus
Helleborus Winter Jewels Golden Lotus has pale to lemon yellow double flowers often with red markings.
Golden Lotus emanates a golden glow from these charming lotus-like flowers. Double yellows are amongst the rarest of hellebores. Some plants in this strain may also sport a flush or picotee of apricot pink and rich burgundy foliage. This gorgeous hellebore strain comes from the Winter Jewels Series bred by Marietta O’Byrne, one of the best hellebore breeders in the world. As with all strains the exact colour and flower shape will vary. Every plant is unique. Another feature of gold strains of hellebores is that their fall and winter foliage can turn bright gold. Deer resistant. Tolerant of shade but best in part shade to part sun. Perennial Plant of the Year 2005.
