Haworthia maughanii ‘Aurora’

Haworthia maughanii 'Aurora' is a beautiful form with frosted, truncated tips with subtle white lines.

Haworthia maughanii (sometimes listed as a variety of H. truncata) is a distinctive succulent from the Little Karoo region of South Africa’s Western Cape province with rounded to angled leaves held in a loose rosette. The tips are truncated and translucent acting as “light pipes” that allow light to enter into the leaves — which are often half buried in sand in the wild — for photosynthesis. ‘Aurora’ is a beautiful form with frosted, truncated tips with subtle white lines. Easy to grow. Tolerant of lower light than other succulents and cool temperatures but best kept above freezing.
