Gloriosa superba ‘Himalayan Select’ is a rare selection with bright, fiery red flowers with recurved tepals (frequently more twisted than the picture) and a lemon-yellow base. Gloriosa lily is hardy to zone 8 and possibly zone 7 if soil conditions are dry during dormancy. Try it under the overhang of the house or grow in a pot that is kept dry and frost-free over winter. All part of the plant are poisonous so no salads!
