Gladiolus nanus ‘Prins Claus’

Gladiolus 'Prins Claus' has orchid-like, pure white flowers with bold magenta and pink spots on the three lower petals.

Gladiolus nanus is a smaller, hardy (to zone 5!) gladiola native to Africa. ‘Prins Claus’ has orchid-like, pure white flowers with bold magenta and pink spots on the three lower petals. They have the benefit of a long bloom period, taking little space to grow such that they combine well with other plants, and make excellent cut flowers. Bulbs require good drainage. Leave the foliage to nourish the bulb after cutting back the flower stalk and mulch in winter.
