Gladiolus nanus ‘Elvira’

Gladiolus nanus 'Elvira' has orchid-like, palest pink flowers with bold dark pink spots and a dark pink throat.

Gladiolus nanus is a smaller, hardy gladiola native to Africa. ‘Elvira’ has orchid-like, palest pink flowers with bold dark pink spots on the three lower petals and a dark pink throat. They have the benefit of a long bloom period, taking little space to grow such that they combine well with other plants, and make excellent cut flowers. Bulbs require good drainage. Leave the foliage to nourish the bulb after cutting back the flower stalk and mulch in winter.
