Gentiana asclepiadea

This clumping woodland native has arching stems with mid-green foliage and trumpet-shaped dark to light blue flowers in axilliary clusters. It loves part-shade and associates well with ferns and shade grasses like Hakonechloa, Millium effusum ‘Aureum’ and Carex elata ‘Bowles Golden’.
