Gaultheria procumbens Winter Splash is a beautiful variegated wintergreen with showy white and green leaves that turn pink in the winter. Great as a ground cover and for patio planters year round but particularly nice for the winter holidays. Plentiful, showy, bright red berries appear in fall and persist through winter to spring. The berries are edible. They are mildly sweet with the taste of wintergreen, similar to peppermint. A Canadian native from southern Manitoba to Labrador and Nova Scotia. Cultivar name: ‘GaulBril’.
