The rose-like double flowers of Gardenia ‘Frostproof’ have an intense and intoxicating fragrance and appear most profusely in early summer and sporadically thereafter. Resilient in cool springs or cool spring/summer climates and will still produce copious flowers. Full sun to light shade. Blooms best where walls or patios provide extra night time warmth in spring and summer. Plant in a protected location just to be safe. Evergreen.
