Galanthus ‘Mother Goose’

Galanthus 'Mother Goose' is a holy grail for galanthophiles with the darkest yellow markings of any cultivar.

For a galanthophile, Galanthus ‘Mother Goose’ is one of the holy grails. Whereas snowdrops are famous for their pure white flowers with green markings, this rare and sought after cultivar has yellow markings on the petals and of all the cultivars with yellow, ‘Mother Goose’ is the darkest. Snowdrops are a harbinger of spring that bloom in late winter, often breaking through the snow. Their pendulous pure white flowers often have green markings, the small subtleties of which along with the variation in petal shapes beguile many gardeners who, having fallen down the rabbit hole, are known as galanthophiles. Beware! You could be next.
