They are popular with hummingbirds and bees. ‘Hawkshead’ has pure white flowers. Grow in the ground or in containers. In colder zones plants can die back to the ground. In milder zones plants can remain semi-evergreen. Possibly hardy into zone 4 or 5 with heavy mulching in a protected microclimate. Deer resistant.
