Fothergilla x intermedia ‘Blue Shadow’

 

This vigorous, blue-leafed shrub has honey-scented bottlebrush flowers in spring and has red fall foliage. It reaches 5-6 feet high and wide and is easily maintained, requiring little pruning. Of the blue-leaved cultivars ‘Blue Shadow’ is said to be the best.
