Ferraria crispa is an intriguing iris-like plant from South Africa with dark brown to almost black ruffled petals showing a variety of stripes, blotches and speckles on the white to yellow center. This photo was taken in the wild by Phoenix Perennials owner Gary Lewis on the tour he lead to South Africa in 2015. Makes a great container specimen allowing you to enjoy the crazy flowers up close and personal.
