Fatshedera lizei ‘Lemon & Lime’ / ‘Annemieke’
Fatshedera is an intergeneric cross between Japanese aralia (Fatsia japonica) and Irish ivy (Hedera hibernica). Not only is this “intercontinental” hybrid unsure of its nationality, it occupies a space between perennial, shrub and vine being semi-upright and semi-woody. The large dark green maple-like leaves have bold, variable, yellow markings. Its tolerance of low light makes it an excellent deep shade accent. Severe cold snaps can damage the tips but the plant will quickly recover.
