Eucomis comosa

Eucomis comosa is a beautiful pineapple lily with late summer blooms in shades of white to pink.

Eucomis comosa is a beautiful pineapple lily that produces large, late summer blooms, in shades of white to pink of small star-shaped flowers around the 20 inch stems. The tuft of bracts at the top complete the show making the inflorescence look like a pineapple. Very easy to grow in pots or in the garden where it tolerates a wide range of garden conditions. Full sun encourages the leaves to be stiff and vase-like. In the garden, grow through a carpet of ground covers such as baby’s tears, Geranium ‘Ballerina’, or Sedum ‘Blue Spruce’.
