Eucomis ‘Aloha Leia’

Eucomis 'Aloha Leia' is a coconut-scented pineapple lily with bold foliage and purple spikes that look like pineapples.

Eucomis ‘Aloha Leia’ is a compact pineapple lily that provides a tropical-look in the garden plus the fragrance of coconut! The glossy, broad and strappy foliage has wavy edges that add interest while waiting for the unusual purple flower spikes to emerge in late summer. The flowers on the inflorescence look like a pineapple with a tuft of bracts at the top. Clump-forming to 12 to 15 inches tall and wide. Very easy to grow in free-draining soils and in containers. Full sun for best results. Use as a focal point and as cut flowers. Mulch in winter with fallen leaves or protect in a frost free location. Pollinator attractor. Hardy to zone 7b.
