Epimedium x rubrum ‘Galadriel’

'Galadriel' is an improved form of Epimedium x rubrum with bolder red spring foliage and deeper burgundy red fall foliage with the great white and red spring flowers.

‘Galadriel’ is an improved form of Epimedium x rubrum with bolder red spring foliage and deeper burgundy red fall foliage. Plants bulk up relatively quickly. It is a superb low-growing groundcover for woodland and shady areas. The red flowers are like tiny columbines and are best seen by removing the previous season’s old foliage in late winter. Epimedium are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade and, when established, are drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters.
