The heart-shaped, green foliage matures to a bronze autumn colour. Growth habit is 18 inches high by 24-36 inches wide. Barrenworts are among the easiest perennials to grow thriving in medium to heavy shade and, when established, are highly drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Use as a ground cover or shady accent.
