Epimedium grandiflorum 'Pierre's Purple' is a barrenwort with wine-purple flowers, white-tipped spurs and green foliage.

Epimedium grandiflorum ‘Bandit’ is a barrenwort displaying large, whimsical and ethereal clusters of wiine-purple flowers with prominent spurs tipped in white in the spring. Prior to flowering, new foliage emerges bronze maturing to bright green with spiny-toothed oval leaflets on wiry stems forming an attractive foliage mound. Growth habit is 9 to 18 inches tall and wide. Epimedium are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters. They can be used as effective groundcovers or shade garden accents.
