Epimedium grandiflorum ‘Bandit’

Epimedium grandiflorum 'Bandit' is a barrenwort with small white flowers and bold foliage of various colours during the growing season.

Epimedium grandiflorum ‘Bandit’ offers whimsical and ethereal clusters of white flowers in the spring. Prior to flowering, new foliage emerges dark red with green veins. As the leaves mature and as the flowers burst forth, the dark foliage gives way to green, leaving wide margins in dark maroon. By summertime, the entire leaf has become green. Enough to steal your heart. Epimedium are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters. They can be used as effective groundcovers or shade garden accents.
