Epimedium ‘Cranberry Dancer’

Epimedium 'Cranberry Dancer' is a barrenwort with small red and yellow flowers and light green, evergreen foliage.

Epimedium ‘Cranberry Dancer’ is am improved cultivar with larger flowers, longer blooming period and exceptionally long flower stems. Whimsical, cranberry red sepals have dark centres with yellow wingtips. The backs of the sepals are rosy red with a cream margin. The long, lance-shaped, evergreen foliage with spiny margins, are medium green in color with moderate amounts of bronzing in cooler temperatures. Barrenwort thrive in medium to heavy shade and, when established, are highly drought tolerant – one of the few plants that can thrive in dry shade. They can be used as effective ground covers or shade garden accents. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles and other critters.
