Engelmannia peristenia or Engelmann’s daisy produces bright, cheerful, yellow daisies from late spring until frost atop rosettes of fuzzy, grey-green, dissected foliage providing a nice texture. Plants are tough and adaptable to hot sunny spots and to dry and poor soils and a magnet for pollinators. Provide good winter drainage. Deadheading will increase flower production. Plants can also be sheared to the ground to refresh mid season if needed. They will return quickly and keep flowering.
