Echinops ritro ‘Sea Stone’

 

This dwarf globe thistle grows to just 16 inches tall with nicely dissected, thistle-like foliage and green buds that gradually transform to blue as the star-shaped flowers open from the tops of the sphere to the bottom. A great bee and butterfly magnet.
