Echinacea Sombrero ‘Salsa Red’

Echinacea Sombrero 'Salsa Red' is the best true red on the market.

‘Salsa Red’ is likely the best true red hybrid coneflower. The colour is not deep orange, not a hot orange-red but actually almost borders on a cool blue-red. Very floriferous, rich, deep red colour. The Sombrero Series offers well-branched, dwarf plants which produce lots of flowers. Echinacea in coastal BC should be planted in hot, dry, sunny spots with thin, average to poor soils for best overwintering.
