Echinacea Double Dipped ‘Watermelon Sugar’ is a coneflower that offers fragrant, fully double, pompom-style flowers up to 4.5 inches wide in magenta-pink maturing to a medium pink with broad, overlapping horizontal ray florets. Well branched stems support the prolific flowers on plants 22 to 26 inches high and 20 to 24 inches wide. Echinacea in coastal BC should be planted in hot, dry, sunny spots with thin, average to poor soils for best overwintering. Use in the middle of the sunny border, in containers, and as long lasting cut flowers. Provides seeds for overwintering birds. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
