Drimys winteri ‘Pewter Pillar’

This Chilean evergreen tree has large green leaves sometimes with a bluish cast with silvery white undersides and maroon new growth. It grows into a magnificent columnar form about 20 feet tall and is perfect as a specimen or as a hedge. Plant it where you can look up into the foliage and see the shimmering white undersides of the leaves blowing in the wind.
