Dicentra spectabilis ‘Gold Heart’

'Gold Heart' is a Dicentra plugged into the electrical grid with golden foliage that sets off the pink flowers to great effect.

Bred by fellow Canadians Sandra and Nori Pope during their tenure at Hadspen Garden in the UK, Dicentra spectabilis ‘Gold Heart’ is the classic bleeding heart with chartreuse to gold foliage to back up the rose-pink and white flowers. It’s shocking, it’s audacious, it’s electric, it’s fabulous. Great for illuminating a dark corner of the shade garden. May go dormant in summer if soils are dry.
