Dianthus carthusianorum is an unusual pink species with tall, airy, two foot stems with clusters of dark purple buds and bright pink flowers.

Dianthus carthusianorum, also known as clusterhead pink, is an unusual pink species with linear basal leaves and tall, airy stems up to two feet or more with tight clusters of dark purple buds revealing crimson red, serrated petals that quickly turn to bright pink as they fully open. It’s a lovely addition to the front or mid border where it can act as a “see-through” plant similar to Verbena bonariensis.
