Dahlia ‘Twyning’s Smartie’ is a delightful mignon type dahlia with cupped bi-colour petals varying from magenta to white and a bit of both with striking golden orange centres. Every flower is unique. A sure winner in the garden with its vigorous, compact form and strong stems up to 32 inches tall. Dahlia are hardy to coastal BC’s winter temperatures but not to winter wet. Protect from rain in free-draining soils, plant in pots that can be moved and protected, or lift and store in a cool, dry, frost free location. They are moderately deer resistant. Pollinator friendly.
