Dahlia Fimbriata ‘Alauna Clair Obscur’

Dahlia 'Alauna Clair Obscur' is a fimbriata type with feathery purple petals that fade to magenta with white, fringed tips.

Dahlia ‘Alauna Clair Obscur’ is nothing short of wow! As a semi-cactus/fimbriata flowering dahlia, it has dark burgundy-purple petals emerging from the centre gradually fading to magenta then white. The petals are slightly twisty and fringed at the tips offering a feathered effect. Blooms summer to frost. Makes for a great cut flower with large blooms 6-8 inches across on 32-36 inch tall stems. Dahlia are hardy to coastal BC’s winter temperatures but not to winter wet. Protect from rain in free-draining soils, plant in pots that can be moved and protected, or lift and store in a cool, dry, frost free location. They are moderately deer resistant.
