Dahlia Cactus ‘Preference’

'Preference' is a large, eye-catching semi-cactus dahlia with peachy-pink blooms paling to creamy pink at the tips.

Dahlia ‘Preference’ is a semi-cactus cultivar that offers a spectacular tropical effect in the garden. The flowers are fully double and 4-6 inches across displaying peachy-pink blooms paling to creamy pink toward the tips of their inwardly curved petals all atop 3-5 foot tall burgundy stems. A prolific bloomer from summer to frost. Fantastic in the border and as a cut flower. Dahlia are hardy to coastal BC’s winter temperatures but not to winter wet. Protect from rain in free-draining soils, plant in pots that can be moved and protected, or lift and store in a cool, dry, frost free location. Pollinator attractor. Moderately deer resistant.
